Why the hell do I post something will happen in 3 months ?! Just the 1st of a long serie I project to follow. Those "Japan Expo Sud" are very good for one thing : atmosphere.

This convention is filled to all kind of people from heavy otaku to curious, at the end you have a cool ambiance where usual suckers (aka "you-cant-understand-i-am-otaku") are invisible. This is something I highly appreciate.

What to expect ?

Usual stuff : anime, manga (I hope I'll find the next volume of that doujin I use to buy ), concert, fashion defile, martial art demo, asian culture booth, goodies, famous guest, COSPLAY (yeah in big because whatever you say : Cosplay is GREAT !), etc...etc...

What do I expect ?

Generally I go in such events to find cheap stuff like figurines, manga, DVDs, goodies,... with a bit of knowledge and lots of patience and tons of luck you can find good stuff for a ridiculous price. Big advantage is the size of this event : way smaller then the one in Paris and sometimes smaller is better (^_^)

well, well... I missed everything in 2010 (except the Japan Expo Sud 2010) I hope 2011 to be different.

Video capture for Visual Novels

I was in need of a video capture software that could work with Visual Novels... I mean ALL Visual Novels !

My old Fraps refused to work with these games, Camstudio was not good for this then I tried several other products (tons of shitty soft that makes you register for nothing) and I finally found one ! yeah !

I post bellow the test I made with Nanairo Kouro (made by Journey).

Yes, I took this scene because it's funny. By the way you see the result is not bad at all.

Software used is E.M. Free Game Capture. This a free software, REALLY free.

What free means nowadays : you can use it forever without any ads on your capture (praise them !) but you are limited in your sound quality. If you want a better sound = buy it.

I post bellow screens to explain how that (old but good) software works :

Pretty simple no ? (notice the funny stuff in the background hehe yes, I made it on purpose for peeps with humour sense).

Game used for these screenshots is Sekajyo by Navel.

Well, if you were looking for something easy to use and works with ALL VNs for your blog, video, amv or whatever : this one is good.

2 things to know :

- rendering is a bit long

- available in english only

 

PS : no I have no links with this software company as I have no links ANY of the stuff I use to present (except Daiyume heh !).

What ?! Yakumo is annoying with her Da Capo !!!! hala hala ! There are D.C. fans everywhere on earth and I didnt post the 1st promo video.... so I post the second xP

This is D.C. DX, infos at VNDB and PHAT official website with tons and tons of things to see/read/dream.

Notice that Circus updated their website since my last post about D.C.DX. Otome Benchmark is now available directly on the main page and DCDX downloads now feature all stuff (including the video above).

 

A little word about Mangagamer and their upcoming releases...mmm ok I redo : a little word about Mangagamer and THE game you will buy because it's one of the best ever (this is too much ? a bit ?) : Da Capo II in english.

They added more informations on their blog with something you will recognise if you into D.C. universe.

Then as I said : I didnt play. Just watched anime, too tired to go deeper into magical world.

 

If you into MMORPG, you'll be glad to know that Iris Online global is now in Open Beta while JP server finally released the 2nd episode (yeah they took their time but their was some probs.... fixed + a drop rate compensation to players). See pic bellow :

If you know Iris, you will recognise the zone (30+ pvp). By the way my little Iselbeth is now a level 34 Knight and leveling takes ages.... so i didnt play xP

 

Yes this article is a mess of various things I saw around (title says all). There are tons of other stuff I shud speak but let's keep that for later if you want.

Next time I'll speak about Daiyume. yes this sounds boring but it wont !
