Woah ! Mangagamer released Koihime Musou english version ! Another major game, yup.

As announced the price is 34.95euros (USD: 48.30) which is correct for a "not-yet-voiced-but voices-will-come-soon" version.

I said : it's a major release and it seems everyone is exited about this game -no doubt they will hit the minimum sellings fast. Mangagamer staff posted a special blog with a little surprise : "Buying a copy between now and July automatically enters you in a chance to win a copy of the anime as well!". Great idea !

If you don't know Koihime Musou and prefer to "test before I buy", there is a demo (yes, in english) that you can grab there.

So yes, me back from Japan-Exposud. I didnt take any pics, so i post some I took from the official facebook.

I went there for just 2 poor hours, just the time for me to buy a Hatsune Miku bag (remember I said I was looking for a bag) and 2 Da Capo II mousepad...

Yeah ! Two because there were 2 of them, if there were 10 I'd bought ten ! And no, these are not oppai, just normal mousepads one with Nanaka and Koko and the second with Nanaka alone (and showing a bit of a white triangle).

The place was over-crowed, the place was bigger then the past years but not enough to contain everyone. Some booth were hard to reach, in particular the ones near the food. (no, I dont complain: I report).

The 2nd "bad" point was the prices, it seems events are now set up to fuck up otaku, for example I noticed some 15 bucks figurines sold at 30, that joke. Almost everything was overpriced (except the bag and the mousepad it seems), in addition nearly all merchandises were the same of all booth...

The question is : why wasting money there when I have more choice and lesser price on Internet ?

Shipping ? Not an argue : I had to pay for JP-Exposud entrance + transportation cost. (yes, I am complaining).

Touching ? You can not touch the products (normal)

Watching ? mmm maybe the only good point but we all know that we dont need to "watch" when it comes to passion : we all know what is sold, no surprises.

Anyway, I was not the only one complaing about the prices.

On the good point I saw loads of cosplay all around, all sort of cosplay,it's a real pleasure to have such big difference between cosplayers (I even saw a Totoro) and as always for such event : real good atmosphere.

I repeat : I took all pictures from the official facebook there are more if you want.

Ho no, I didnt see any of the concert, cosplay events, etc.. just no time.

Next time I'll post some music in free download (genre ? J).

Hehe. 100% fun yes.

It's a remix of  "A la recherche du futur perdu" (Ushinawareta Mirai wo Motomete) by Trumple. It's the 1st scene of the trial.. yes trial because I still haven't played the full version.

Anyway, I made the track 1st and then built the video. This means I sampled, rebuilt and mixed the voice before even thinking of a video.

As for the rest. I watched Madoka Magica because of some exitation given by Masayuki (the tv-sitting hehe). I spoke about this anime while ago - I dont remember why but I was about Shaft+Aniplex.

Well, it's a good start. If you dont like magical girl you shud have a look (huh ?!), yeah it's not another "魔法" anime... for the moment...

See by yourself, really you wont regret it.

Last time I forgot to speak about the Moe Game Award 2010.

The winner is Tasogare no Sinsemilla.Complete award listing is there (sorted by categories).

Nothing more to add, I suppose several of players would have seen the #2 as main winner...

Speaking of events, Japan Expo Sud website is slowly updated. II recived my schedule for 2011 and it will be hard for me to be there. I'll try my best to freeone day during this week to go take some pics and report from what I'll see.

Exhibitor list is still short but  it's always like that : they update the list during the event and at the end there is a long, long, long page to read (you know I go to these events mainly  to buy stuff and I need a new bag... yeah I like to buy live).

Concerning VNs, I havent played something new recently. I gave a try to Anaxael trial by Nitro+. Not my genre.

I have Akatoki! and Futur Perdu to play but I have some music stuff to work on 1st... later then.

I couldnt see Gokudou no Hanayome too (VNDB), I'll check that tonight, this game looks special.

Why the hell do I post something will happen in 3 months ?! Just the 1st of a long serie I project to follow. Those "Japan Expo Sud" are very good for one thing : atmosphere.

This convention is filled to all kind of people from heavy otaku to curious, at the end you have a cool ambiance where usual suckers (aka "you-cant-understand-i-am-otaku") are invisible. This is something I highly appreciate.

What to expect ?

Usual stuff : anime, manga (I hope I'll find the next volume of that doujin I use to buy ), concert, fashion defile, martial art demo, asian culture booth, goodies, famous guest, COSPLAY (yeah in big because whatever you say : Cosplay is GREAT !), etc...etc...

What do I expect ?

Generally I go in such events to find cheap stuff like figurines, manga, DVDs, goodies,... with a bit of knowledge and lots of patience and tons of luck you can find good stuff for a ridiculous price. Big advantage is the size of this event : way smaller then the one in Paris and sometimes smaller is better (^_^)

well, well... I missed everything in 2010 (except the Japan Expo Sud 2010) I hope 2011 to be different.

Video capture for Visual Novels

I was in need of a video capture software that could work with Visual Novels... I mean ALL Visual Novels !

My old Fraps refused to work with these games, Camstudio was not good for this then I tried several other products (tons of shitty soft that makes you register for nothing) and I finally found one ! yeah !

I post bellow the test I made with Nanairo Kouro (made by Journey).

Yes, I took this scene because it's funny. By the way you see the result is not bad at all.

Software used is E.M. Free Game Capture. This a free software, REALLY free.

What free means nowadays : you can use it forever without any ads on your capture (praise them !) but you are limited in your sound quality. If you want a better sound = buy it.

I post bellow screens to explain how that (old but good) software works :

Pretty simple no ? (notice the funny stuff in the background hehe yes, I made it on purpose for peeps with humour sense).

Game used for these screenshots is Sekajyo by Navel.

Well, if you were looking for something easy to use and works with ALL VNs for your blog, video, amv or whatever : this one is good.

If you know Iris, you will recognise the zone (30+ pvp). By the way my little Iselbeth is now a level 34 Knight and leveling takes ages.... so i didnt play xP

This is just a quick update to my previous post about summer MMORPGs.

Nine Tail Online

Let's start with NineTail Online, a new MMORPG announced by Aeriagames.jp. They have open a blog for the occasion where they will give informations and screens.
Guys at Aeria already added few of these screens (from the TW version actually in dev). Few infos about the game then : it will be a grind fest (tons of quests, tons of mobs), the title is coming from the Fox who's with you at the start and that's all.
Aeria is promoting their terrible Grand Fantasia, in fact they will link both games together : finishing a quest in one game will give something (open a new quest or give item ??) in the second. They started their event already but ... i am not a big fan of Grand Fantasia you see xP
NineTail Online, release date (JP) : this fall.

UPDATE : I just received the email from Aeria global. The game will be called "Kitsu Saga" (on global) and the sign up for beta is now : http://kitsusaga.aeriagames.com/.

Ai Sp@ce

I just played quickly on Ai Sp@ce. Ages I havent been onit, i need to check with my friend CoreZero about all the stuff went live during this summer
Sooooooooo there was some Miku stuff (yeah the Vocaloid girl). I just spoke to her and she gave me a complete outfit of herself (duration ...errr 5 days If I well-remember). I didnt start the mission.
The big update was Koihime, the huge Visual Novel made by BaseSon. As for Touhou Project, it features 3 heroines (Soso, Ryubi and Sonken) and 3 missions (plus 3 new outfits).

There was also some big stuff concerning Clannad, I admit I didnt check. Ho yes the cell phone has changed... forgot that hehe.
I post bellow some screen I quickly took (I played something like 5 min, just patch/enter/go forward to the events/screens/log out).

Haaaa there was a big update while I was away. And all I saw from this update are the housing feature (which sux as there is noway for lowbie to get one) and the new combat system (which sux too).
I tested new combat in TBS dungeons only. In fact, its the same as before but this time you can move your party members. I dont see the point of this system in TBS. Maybe I shud test that in Guild dungeons but I need a higher level (yeah I created a new account...).
The thing that makes Atlantica Online so impressive is the amount of "non-fixed" bugs. Out of the usual old glitches, there are some new bugs like one where you cant read the chat and most of the game content. I really wonder if the Atlantica dev are doing it in purpose because such bug is not cosmetic : no chat = no communication = poor game.

So I have to whisper for very important but whisper action is a popup and this is annoying when you fight.

Anyway, I will play until I see something about the new combat system.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA yes : no screenshots. I dunno where the hell Atlantica put the screens I took.

.... I am pacthing again (stuck at 96%...). I played few minutes but my poor graphic card cant handle the game (I really need to buy a new one !).
Update : As you can see on the pic above : I have big probs. Game is just not playable for me. Tried different config but nothing has worked fine.

Ok I stop complains, game wont vanish I will be able to play at later date.

I just read that Mythos now accept beta applications. Kinda funny to read that when you know I played CBT of this game long long long time ago ... before the dev had to close their door. It was a good game, really fun to play. A diablo-style always welcome !

PS : If I well-remember the 1st thing to do was to go at enchanter upgrade your stuff. I sgud have some old screenshots somewhere. If I find some, I'll post here to check the difference.
